In our time we’ve seen a number of trends come and go, but without a doubt the most significant has to be the rise of the Hazy IPA at the expense of the West Coast IPA. We obviously think the Hazy is great—we make quite a few of them after all—but that doesn’t mean we don’t occasionally pine for Days Gone By. With the help of our like-minded friends, we were first able to indulge in a little nostalgia for our tenth birthday. It’s turned out to be the gift that keeps on giving, as our good pals at West Hill and SingleSpeed Brewing have joined with us again to help craft the perfect beer to re-capture the days of yore: a true West Coast Double IPA. With a big, chewy malt bill to support a bevy of Pacific Northwest hops that bring citrus, floral, and resin notes in abundance, we can’t help but think it's time for a comeback. After all, eventually everything old becomes new again, right? Cheers to the classics!
