In the 18th century, during their long Lenten fast when they could drink but not eat, monks brewed rich, bready bock beers for sustenance. Always fans of trying our hand at brewing tradition, it was inevitable that we'd eventually try to brew our own meal in a can. Our bock came out big, bury, and chewy, hence the name, ChewBOCKa. This beast of a beer is made with a Munich malt base and German hops for a rich and full-bodied yet balanced and malty sweetness. A long, cool lagering period mellows this deep mahogany beer and brings flavors of toasted brown bread, sweet caramel, and even hints of chocolate. Whether you're fasting or not, our ChewBOCKa is sure to satisfy. After all, we wouldn't want you thinking with your stomach...
